Medicine Shield Workshop
Discover the cultural significance of the Medicine Shield through an engaging, hands-on Indigenous learning experience.
Participants will explore the teachings of the Medicine Wheel and the importance of balance between the four aspects of well-being: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The workshop also introduces the significance of the four directions, the interconnectedness of all living things, and the importance of living in harmony with ourselves, others, and the natural world.
Guided by an Indigenous facilitator, participants will create their own Medicine Shield using deer leather and other materials. Each shield becomes a personal reflection of the teachings shared, encouraging participants to consider their own journey toward balance, respect, and understanding.
This meaningful experience combines cultural education, creativity, and reflection in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
