Discover how hands-on Indigenous cultural workshops bring people together through traditional teachings, storytelling, creativity, and meaningful connections
One Company. Two Ways to Inspire.
Makatew Workshops and Makatew Speaks are proudly part of Makatew Inc., bringing Indigenous culture, teachings, and storytelling to life through hands-on cultural workshops and inspiring keynote presentations.
Whether through interactive experiences or powerful conversations, our mission is the same: to foster understanding, strengthen connections, and inspire meaningful change.
Who We Are
Makatew Workshops champions Indigenous culture by creating meaningful spaces to learn, connect, and create. Founded with the vision of sharing tradition respectfully, we help companies, communities, and individuals appreciate Indigenous culture without the fear of appropriation. Rooted in authenticity, our work honours heritage while fostering understanding and reconciliation.
What We Do
Through hands-on workshops and customizable products, we bring Indigenous knowledge and craftsmanship to life.
Each session is a safe space to learn, ask questions, and create traditional items—like medicine bags or dreamcatchers—while deepening cultural appreciation. Beyond workshops, we offer custom gifts, blankets, boards, and awards that carry both meaning and impact.
Workshops
In-person or virtual, Our workshops offer hands-on experiences where participants create traditional Indigenous crafts while learning their cultural meaning in a welcoming, educational space.
