Rawhide Medallion Workshop
Explore Indigenous creativity, cultural expression, and storytelling through the creation of a personalized Rawhide Medallion.
In this engaging, hands-on workshop, participants will learn about the significance of traditional materials, including rawhide and leather, and how Indigenous Peoples have used art and symbolism to express identity, connection to the land, and cultural teachings.
Guided by an Indigenous facilitator, participants will design and decorate their own rawhide medallion, incorporating colours, symbols, and personal meaning into their creation. Throughout the experience, participants are encouraged to reflect on the importance of cultural appreciation, respect, and the passing down of traditional knowledge.
This meaningful workshop combines creativity, cultural education, and personal expression, allowing participants to take home a unique keepsake that reflects their learning experience.
